Sashi looks after the family.
Takes care of the finances.
Thinks about the future.
Owns the home.
.
Except. Sashi is not a man.
.
Sashi is the woman of today – who not only steps into the shoes of a man, but also shares the
responsibility of doing so. Above all, She owns her own home. Sheome – A Woman’s First Investment.
When Shashi was told her first investment would be an ornament, she didn’t understand it. “I
remember my brother’s first investment was a property we fondly called our Farmhouse. Even though I have a thriving career and promotions in line, Why wouldn’t I make the same choice?,”
she asks matter-of-factly.
The simple difference between a ‘Home’ and a ‘Sheome’ uncovers all the ‘Shhh…’ moments of
her life. The ‘Shhh…’ that tries to silence her aspirations. WWINGS is celebrating today’s
women not by screaming for her rights but by empowering her aspiration. As we see more
women breaking away from the tradition and buying their own property, we wish to
commemorate their share and their success in an unconventional way. She grows into an adult
in her parents’ home but doesn’t need to wait for a Husband’s home. She has the capability to
make it a Sheome.
A Woman’s First Investment need not be an Ornament
“How many of us sat down, our daughters and said, ‘Well, your first investment will not be an
ornament, but let’s put down some money for you to buy a home which you can
singularly own’?” ~ Smriti Irani
We are spearheading the call for more women to own a property by calling it their SHEOME. A
Sheome is more than just a home.
Singularly, only 13% women in India own a house and only 8% own land. While speaking on the
role of women in shaping India’s growth, Smriti Irani asserts that it’s not essential for a woman
to only have a salary cheque, it is also essential for her to be in control of her own money.
Sheome is a call for this control. It is not just a property, bought in the name of a woman, but a
property she choses. On one hand, more women-owned properties would empower women and
on the other, it would also encourage shared-responsibility in house-holds. Owning a house
need not be the prerogative of the man, nor his burden. As more women move towards equal
rights and responsibility, ownership of property also becomes less male-dominated. Not only we want to
encourage women to go beyond jointly owned properties, but also help to promote equality in partnerships. As a matter of fact, Sheome is true celebration of equal partnership. It is time to normalize that a woman’s first investment is her Sheome!
Wwings changing narratives, empowering ownership
Wwings emerged in the market, a decade ago, when the holiday homes sector was a
cacophony of names – retirement homes, luxury homes, weekend homes, second homes, and
more. This confusion stemmed from misleading marketing and a lack of industry expertise,
leading to halted projects and growing skepticism. To build trust in such a market, meant
creating a completely new identity – which answers questions, ceases doubts and creates
credibility. The answer to this conundrum was ‘Heal Estates’ – A reimagined identity of the
sector where greenery, sustainability and serenity are recreated for mental, physical and social
well-being. Every project by Wwings offers Heal Estates – Farmlands, N.A plots, villas or
mansions, in iconic natural locations. Spaces not just to heal and call home, but also for a Woman’s first investment – Sheome.
